Krabi is one of the southern provinces (changwat) of Thailand, in the coast of the Sea of Andaman.  The neighboring provinces are (north to the right) Phang Nga, Gentlemen of Surat, Nakhon If Thammarat and Trang.  The province of Phuket al western abuts also, but without any border of the land.  The capital of the region is the city of Krabi. 

The province is located in the coast al Sea of Andaman.  The majority of the personages are the solitary hills of the limestone, in the land and in the sea as islands.  The climbers the trip of the entire world to the Beach of Railay to rise.  Of about of 130 islands that belong to the province, Sotavento of Pi of Pi of Korea is perhaps the very famous one, as was the assembly of the movie The Beach.  The coast of the province was damaged badly by the tsunami December 26 2004.

The first human remains in the province he dates back to 25.000 - 35.000 aC, but the first history registered dates back al Kingdom of Ligor in 1200 AC, when the Prohibition of the city Samor Thai formed part of this kingdom.  In Thailand modern, Krabi was administered of Nakhon If Thammarat, still after 1872 when king Chulalongkorn gave Krabi the position of a town.  In 1875 finally it obtained the full provincial position.
